  • Fair Play becomes a C.I.C. - The Fair Play Partnership has recently changed its structure from a 'LTD' company to a Community Interest Company (C.I.C).

    A C.I.C. is a new type of company, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits for the public good. If you want to know more details on Community Interest Companies then please visit

  • Employment increases amongst older people- The rate of adults over the age of 50 who are in employment has increased over the past 50 years, population trends published by the ONS show. The data look at the economic activity of older people,as well as how their experiences have changed over the last 50 years. The increase in employment rates of over 50s varies according to socio-economic status, qualification level, marital status and caring commitments. Those aged between 50 and the state pension age holding managerial or professional jobs or with a degree (or equivalent) are most likely to be in employment. Married men between the ages of 50 and 69 who still live with a spouse are more likely to be economically active. The same group is also less likely to unemployed as a result of sickness. Those between the ages of 50 and state pension age are more likely to be in employment if they have mortgage commitments or dependent children.

  • Championing DiversityChampioning Diversity is a West Yorkshire wide programme in which The Fair Play Partnership is working with 25 large employers based in West Yorkshire to improve and develop their management of diversity.

    The project is fully funded through Yorkshire Forward and is part of the Access to Employment programme.

  • Worklessness Commission for 50+ - Fair Play and The Regional Forum presented the report compiled from their research to Rosie Winterton, MP, at St George's Centre, Leeds on 15th June.
