DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT
The Diversity Driver
The Diversity Driver is a self assessment tool for organisations to benchmark where they are in terms of diversity.
What is in it for you?
- Do you find it difficult to recruit people for your organisation in a competitive labour market?
- Are you unsure about how future recruitment and staff planning needs will be addressed?
- Do you wonder how well your employees understand the needs of their clients and customers?
- Are you unsure that you are reaching all potential customers?
If you answered yes to any of the above then you and your team should be thinking about diversity and how it affects your organisation.
What do we mean by diversity?
Embracing diversity within an organisation means more than ensuring equal opportunities and access for all. It is about:
- Recognising and celebrating the uniqueness of individuals within the workforce.
- Ensuring that individuals contribute fully to the success of the organisation.
- Responding to diversity within the customer base.
What is the Diversity Driver?
The Diversity Driver is a self-assessment tool that helps you to focus on and agree what should be the diversity priorities for your organisation. It is based upon the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence model and it provides a baseline upon which to build plans and check progress.
Who can use the Diversity Driver?
Any type of organisation can benefit from using the Diversity Driver:
- Small/large
- Public/private sector
- Community/voluntary sector
- How does an organisation use the Diversity Driver?
An introductory discussion will help decide who to involve in the self-assessment. We will provide a facilitator to run a workshop where the strengths and area's for improvement of the organisation in regards to diversity are agreed.
Following the workshop Fair Play will provide will provide support in developing an action plan to address the priority areas identified.
What support is available?
You will decide how and when you will use the Driver, but the Fair Play Partnership can provide support to carry out the self assessment and to develop action plans.
What is the first step we need to take?
Please contact the Fair Play Partnership to arrange a free introductory meeting to discuss your requirements further.
