Championing diversity
Championing Diversity is a West Yorkshire wide programme offered to large employers to help them develop their management of diversity. The programme includes an assessment of the company’s progress to date and extensive help over 18 months to move them in the direction they want to be in the future. Shaping the companies into ‘Champions of Diversity’ in their industry.
The programme is a great opportunity to all large companies with a branch in West Yorkshire and 250+ full time equivalant. The programme is fully funded through Yorkshire Forward and is available to 25 companies.
We will help each company to devise a tailor-made set of actions, which could include:
- Diversity action plans which identify areas for improvement in terms of your organisation’s diversity objectives.
- Support for managers within your company through a range of interventions to further their understanding of diversity and the impact on their roles.
- Expanding your recruitment channels.
- Training your managers/recruiters in areas such as staff development and progression.
- Improving your workforce development practices.
